oooh we have got our flowering teas!
I like them so much ha ha

flowering tea / blooming tea / art tea - many names...
it is a hand made tea bundle, when you poor hot water onto it in a pot or mug it will open up to beatiful flowers, so not only can you enjoy drinking tea but also see a beatiful thing rising [if you have glas pot].

there are many kinds, we decided on 5 sorts, so we have five different flowers that is.
we also fond some qute smaller oriental looking glas pots to use & sell, similar to the one on this picture but more rounded & more better looking I think : )

our producer from China is also using "white tea" wich means theese have top quality as the white tea for many is considered to be the best tea you can drink for health etc.
this tea can be used as a afternoon tea "just enjoy some tea" or also as a dinner tea since it goes well with food.

for me I think this might also be a lovely christmas gift to someone, a more unusual gift I guess.

also otherwise you can allways come to us and just anjoy a blooming tea pot and sit in our small lounge for realaxing moment..

I was reading some about this Hindu godess Durga..
many hindus believe that Durga protects her devotees from the evils of the world and at the same time removes their miseries.

it is said she has 3 eyes and is also referred to as "Triyambake" meaning the three eyed Goddess.
the left eye represents desire (the moon),
the right eye represents action (the sun),
and the central eye knowledge (fire).

her vehicle is the mighty Lion [but many times she rides the tiger...] wich represents power, will and determination. riding the lion symbolises her mastery over all these qualities.
this suggests to the devotee that one has to possess all these qualities to get over the demon of ego

in one of her 8-10 arms she holds a conch shell that symbolizes the 'Pranava' or the mystic word 'Om', which indicates her holding on to God in the form of sound

she is often called just "Devi" mother of gods and she is the whife of lord Shiva, and one of her incarnations is the fearful godess Kali...

so... the reason for all this is that I have goten a mail from the child foundation that I am within that I my new "sponsor child" is decided, her name is Durga, and if I understand correctly she is 4,5 years old only. she lives somewhere around the bangalore area, so quit far south in the country of India.
I ave decided earlier to get a better connection with the new child I got, but now I need to think of what to say to such a small girl ha ha.
interesting!

it seams that I need to restart myself he he

lately I have been [like many others] affected by the so grey & dark weather, rain & rain no sunshine... feel tired somehow and sleep longer etc.
also havent at all felt like writing this blog, no real inspiration lately.
today was the culmen of it when I forgot!?!?! that we had a kundalini yoga class at the studio as we do every tuesday! so I over slept, so embarassing!
but as I am trying to learn is now it has happend no need to let the rest of the day be spoiled by it since I ususally take thees things so personally and can be upset about it/my self and then the whole day is waisted just being irritated.
next week I will give the participants & the teacher something as token for my confusion..

just ate a very nice special version of nasi goreng from my local malaysian wok place, vegetarian with a bit more spicy curry and pineapple + cashews.
yummie!
before that I was at my studio teaching a HathaYoga class. a really nice class today, had only 2 participants [this class always small group since a strange timespot] and also I was feeling quit tired and so from the long sunday I guess.
but sometimes when you least expect it some of the most nice feeling classes reveals themselves [that small extra feeling you know].

yesterday was a long day, we had a visit from a swedish nun within kadampa buddhism at our place,
Khunpen [her buddhist name] is also gonna have 2 meditation evenings in our studio before x-mas.

I started the sunday with leaving dogs at the studio, then of to teach a HathaYoga class at World Class Nybroplan, wich is a new big fitness/gym-place.
I had 17 students attending the 10.30 sunday class there, one was an visiting italian man, I noticed his swedish friend was translating some during the class for him he he
then back to buddha spa, a quick sandwich for breakfast and then start to arrange for the "buddha evening - in the sign of buddhism".
up to 40 persons had pre-booked and 26 of them had order food [my collegue "A" did a home made channa-korma, wich is a indian creamy chick pea dish], so she was stuck at home in the kitchen preparing that plus 2 carrot cakes.

so I was trying to arrange so all had a sitting spot and to make it look cosy and homely, because one thing with theese evenings are that we want it to feel relaxed, as you are comming to someones home for a small gathering..
and.. for free if you like to so the lecture is for free,
but we sell our own herbal/spice tea for 10kr in papermugs,
for the ones who order our homade food we sell it for 65kr. this mean the evening in the end is probably not giving any profit for us, but the profit here is to get satisfied people and that things happend at or place and also for someone show their passion or knowledge and inspire others.
so this time it was the young buddhist nun who had a 1 hour lecture and then an 20 minute breathing meditation.

so today/monday since we really want it to be good and for people to enjoy, I guess we put some stress & pressure to ourselves so when I woke up I felt beaten up and decided to sleep some more after snoozing so many times the mobile didn't allow me to snooze any more.

but it was worth it, I felt it was a very nice evening, a calm & homely "event" and I hope the ones who came were satisfied.
about 33 persons finally came, the only sad part is that 7 persons that had ordered food didn't come, wich for me is a bit lacking of respect when we buy food and prepare, with "A" spending hours in the kitchen grinding seads to make a even better authentic korma sause etc,
and we offer a low price since dont want to earn from it really..
and then people book food and dont come so instead we loose money on the whole thing and have food left over..
so un-neccesary!

but nevermind, not gonna give that anymore energy..

tired, a long day and a short night..
last night I couldn'tfall a sleep, got stuck by the computer and thoughts. so when waking up today at 09.00 I had only slept 5,5h wich is far to little for me..

I went to buddha spa and tought a Hatha/Sivananda 105min class, then between 12-15 was my shift at buddha spa.
at 2pm there came to handycrafts men to help us with a small thing we have wanted to do, so they swithced and moved 2 of our dimmers, so now fading etc in the yogastudio will be easier.
also we decided to but som spotlights in the shop since it can be a bit ark there, it felt strange but I think mainly because we are so un-used to it.
it became better for sure just feeling a bit brihgt at first.

so now we wont do to much more for a while again, we are slowly but surely trying to make our small oasis better, and it feels like it is going in the rigt direction all the time, but also need toime for new things to "melt in" for our visitors, so now after some new shelves, some new intersting products, some more light it is time to just be again I think.
also soon is christmas time and we will probably have closed for 2-3 weeks, some yogaclasses perhaps and so, but not generally open during this period.
gonnasend out an e-mail to our yoga teachers & therapuets to see what they want to do during holiday and also what their plans/wishes are for upcomming term.

it feels so lovely & rewarding to upgrade our place for everyone that finds us to apprichiate [or at least that is what we hope, we do things WE would like if we came somewhere like our place]

AUM Shanti

time is about 11am, I am sitting here writing my blog and doing some computer work.
just right now I got an e-mail from a customer that wanted to say thanks for the wonderful pants she bought from my yoga shop.
of course that allways feels good to hear.
also while writing this I got a call from Indira saying they are gonna deliver our new interesting organic juices today, that is great so we can put them in the new small refridgerator we got yesterday, all this a part of our wish to be able to offer more small things in our tea/relax bar at buddha spa. everything you can consume there, or bring with you "take away" on the way home after yoga or treatment, or to bring home and enjoy at your house.

some small interesting things are comming next week, then I think we will stop for a while, let everything just blend in to our place and slowly our customers will get use to it and build up an interest and then perhaps buy some to try. we are mainly doing this as a service and to offer the ones who found us an feeling of something extra, not so much profit for us but just lovely and fitting four our place [at least in our minds]

this morning I had the usual friday early bird morning yoga class at 06.45 I dont know why but perhaps being tired?
because when in the subway reading the paper suddenly I heard from the speakers "next station" etc, and I had gone 3 stations to far ha ha.
so this led to that instead of being at the studio 15minutes before class I was 2-3minutes late. so then slightly stressed up I forgot to light some canldes and felt a bit unfocused in the start of the class.
also I realizedmy buss card had expired so I had to get an sms ticket.
after class I couldn't find one of my socks, wonder it this day is gonna continue like this?

both my sweet dogs wanna be close to me, or at least Mimmi she wants to be next to me, so I have put on of their dog"pillows/beds" ON my small desk. Mimmi is lying there almost all the time if I am working, and sometimes they both lies there, kind of cute but quit strange probably.

Av fredrik binette - 5 november 2009 11:54

my god! or any divine creature.. : )
yesterday I decided to not set any alarm at all in the morning, and I woke up by getting an sms at 9.30...??
so probably my physical body neede some extra rest. and actually even thought I felt slightly doozed off/tamasic from "over sleeping" I also felt a bit more re-charged. I ended up re arranging the shop at buddha spa for example.

today when woke up after some snoozing I heard the noice of the snow blended rain falling down on my window frame.

when going out both my hairy little angles Mimmi & Lillemor refused to do "number two" ha ha. they just walked and looked at my strangely and beged with their whole body language to be allowed to go back home. when comming around the corner when the short walk is heading back to the flat Mimmis startet to run in advance to get indoors quicker.. when getting in they both ran around like crazy from the bed to the sofa to the "cozy pillow" to try to dry up by rubbing against the fabrics & cushions.
so it is time folks, time to look at the opportunities for real about going to the sunshine for a few weeks. I also have another idea about christmas if not getting away earlier then that, or as a combination maybe..

thursdays I have my only off day, no yoga class to teach, and not on the schedule to be at budha spa either, so since the weather also I might probably just stay at home the whole day doing som work on the computer & relax.

I just updatet my yoga web shop namaste.se, I wanted to do an alternativ pre-sale thing for christmas instead of everyone doing a sale after chrismtas. so we'll see how that works, I hope people apprechiate it.
